Dates and Deadlines are divided by different types of residents, their needs, and the events that impact the defined semester. The Business Office accepts Housing Deposits anytime! However, if you have any questions or your housing request is urgent, outside of traditional application dates, we recommend that you contact the Office of Residence Life.

Returning Residents Move In
Winter Break
Indiana Tech’s Residence Halls close during Winter Break. During this period of time, campus resources are not accessible outside of a “Winter Break RA” and campus safety and security. To stay on campus during Winter Break, Residents must notify Residence Life through the Winter Break Stay Form. The cost to stay on campus during Winter Break is $25.00 per day starting upon the date of Residence Hall Closure at Noon. The only exceptions to the daily cost of Winter Break Stay are dates where a resident’s attendance is required as a result of verified athletics or university functions.
If returning for the Spring Semester, residents do not need to remove all of their belongings from their assigned space. However, residents who are not staying on campus during Winter Break will be unable to access the Residence Halls until they open for the Spring Semester. It is highly recommended that residents leave for Winter Break with any medications, valuables, and important documents.
Moving Out
The deadline for residents participating in graduation to move out of their assigned residence hall at the end of the academic year is 12:00 p.m. on the day following Commencement. Additional charges will be applied for students unable to complete the move-out process by this date unless required to remain on campus for a university function such as athletics or if the student has requested to reside on campus for the summer and met the financial obligation.
